Sunda's Tamale Pie

Boil 2 cups water

Mix up:

1 cup corn meal
1 cup cold water
1 teaspoon salt

Pour that into boiling water and stir until cooked. Let cook on low heat five minutes. Cover. Then let cook another ten minutes. Set aside.

3/4 cup onion chopped
1 large green pepper
1 tablespoon butter
1 pound ground beef
1 (8 oz) can of tomato sauce
1 can corn - drained
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce

Saute vegetables in butter. Add ground beef. Then add everything else and cook five minutes.

In two quart casserole dish, put 2/3 of the corn meal on the bottom. Cool for five minutes. Put ground beef mixture on top of that. Then put on the rest of the cornmeal on top and spread with a knife. Leave a two inch rim all around the edges. Bake twenty minutes at 350.
