Lime Chiffon Pie

From 21st Ward in Mesa Primary - 1977


Crust: 2 wrapped packages of graham crackers, 1 cup melted butter, 1 tablespoon sugar, 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon.

Crush all together and press into 9 X 12 pan.

Filling:

1 and 1/2 cup ice cold evaporated milk (beaters and bowl should be ice cold)

One package lime jello made with 2 cups hot water and 2 cups sugar

8 - 10 tablespoons lemon juice (or maybe lime)

Make jello with water and sugar. Refrigerate until it hold its shape. Then beat jello. whip evaporated milk. Fold in lemon juice. Fold all together and pour over crumbs.

Chill overnight until set.
