I found this on Family Heritage Recipes. It was a recipe that ran the course for a few years in Relief Society in the 50's and 60's. My mother made it quite often. I'd forgotten about it. I may have the other recipe my mom had on this site also.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
1 (6 oz.) pkg. lemon Jell-O
2 cups hot water
2 cups 7-Up
1 can crushed pineapple, drained
1 cup miniature marshmallows
3 sliced bananas
Dissolve Jell-O in water. Add 7-Up. Refrigerate until soft set. Stir in pineapple, marshmallows, and bananas.
Refrigerate.
Topping:
½ cup pineapple juice
½ cup frozen orange juice concentrate
¼ cup flour
4 Tb. butter
2 eggs
1 cup whipped topping
Mix all the ingredients except whipped topping in a saucepan and cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until thickened. Cool. Fold in whipped topping. Spread on Jell-O and refrigerate.
