Aunt Melba's Ginger Snaps

3/4 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup molasses
1 egg
2 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons soda
1 teaspoon cloves
1 teaspoon ginger


Mix and roll into balls and dip into sugar. Bake at 350 for about 15 minutes.
